Montevallo’s Kroell Family

The program centered on the role of the Kroell family and their place in the history of Montevallo over the years since George Kroell arrived in the area in the late 1860's. We were especially gratified that three Kroell descendants were able to join us for this special presentation and tribute to them and their ancestors.
During the summer of 2022, an important written history of the Kroell family was donated to the Montevallo HIstorical Society by a surviving family member. The history is in four parts and can be read or printed by CLICKING on the section intro pages below.
